Description
Manufactured in October 1956 and delivered new to the Hoffman Motor Car Company in New York, Restored by 356 Unlimited between 2013 and 2014. The work included a repaint in Silver Metallic, a complete re-trim in red leather, and an overhaul of the four-speed transaxle. A period-correct 356A flat-four was rebuilt to 1,720cc with big-bore pistons and cylinders and installed during the restoration. Serial number of the engine was only manufactured 9 months after the car was built.<br> <br> Notable features include beehive taillights, chrome overriders, a single driver's side mirror, gold badging, quad exhaust outlets, and silver-painted ventilated steel wheels with polished hubcaps. The car is equipped with a black soft top, side curtains, and both full and half tonneau covers.<br> <br> In 2015, it earned Best Speedster at the 356 Florida Owners Group's Gathering of the Faithful. It is offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, Kardex copy, restoration documentation, and a tool kit.<br> <br> By appointment only.
